Amanda Kopcsak – Musician and Music Educator, Wilson Middle School, Glendale, CA
The most powerful things I’ve learned along the way:

Always take ownership of all that you do, and if you do not get what you think you deserve, be motivated to work harder and keep trying.
• My greatest reward as a teacher comes from my students.
Sharing my passion with others, and then in turn inspiring a new passion and talent within them touches my soul. Always share your art with others. You never know who you may impact.

Amanda Kopcsak graduated in 2010 from the University of Southern California with her masters degree in music education. In 2007, Ms. Kopcsak graduated summa cum laude from Central Washington University with her bachelors in violin performance. While in Washington she was concertmaster for the Central Washington University Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra and conductor for the Debut Orchestra of Central Washington’s Preparatory Strings Program. In 2004, Ms. Kopcsak auditioned and was accepted into the National Festival Orchestra in New York and performed at Carnegie Hall. Since moving to Los Angeles, Ms. Kopcsak was a member of the American Youth Symphony conducted by Alexander Treger, and had her first musical theater debut with the Antaeus Theater company’s production of American Tales (violin). Ms. Kopcsak taught band, orchestra and choir in the city of Paramount, CA from 2010-2012, and is currently in her third year teaching band and orchestra at Wilson Middle School in Glendale, CA.
